Dr. Nicola Pusterla graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 1991. He worked in the private and academic sector with a focus in large animal internal medicine. Dr. Pusterla earned his PhD degree from the University of Zurich with an emphasis on vector-borne diseases. He joined UC Davis in 1998 where he currently holds an appointment as a Professor in Equine Internal Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Pusterla has ongoing interests in all aspects of equine internal medicine and dentistry. His research focuses on selected aspects of equine infectious diseases with an emphasis on epidemiology, clinical disease understanding, diagnostics, prevention, and treatment.

Lorre graduated from the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy in 2014 and is registered with The International Register for Equine Osteopaths EDO® (IREO).
