Dr. Nicola Pusterla graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 1991. He worked in the private and academic sector with a focus in large animal internal medicine. Dr. Pusterla earned his PhD degree from the University of Zurich with an emphasis on vector-borne diseases. He joined UC Davis in 1998 where he currently holds an appointment as a Professor in Equine Internal Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Pusterla has ongoing interests in all aspects of equine internal medicine and dentistry. Sam Crosby DVM is a 1994 graduate of Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been the owner of Crosby Veterinary Services in Arcadia Oklahoma, since that time, specializing in equine sports and performance medicine. Dr. Crosby is a member of the board of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association, and President of the board of Veterinarians Encouraging and Teaching Inc. The latter organization is Veterinary student oriented and puts on wet labs aimed at teaching veterinary students practical aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr Crosby is married to Jeri Crosby and they have four children between them and five grandchildren.
